Pulley Strip and Inspection

TS Global's strip and inspection service provides a clear assessment of pulley condition before decisions are made regarding repair, refurbishment or replacement. Following complete disassembly, our team undertakes a detailed inspection of all critical components to assess condition, identify defects and determine the most appropriate path forward.

The inspection process includes both visual and dimensional assessment of key components including shafts, shells, end discs, hubs, bearings, lagging systems and critical interfaces. Particular attention is given to areas subject to wear, fatigue and high operating loads, allowing potential issues to be identified before they result in unplanned failure.

Where required, additional non-destructive testing (NDT) can be incorporated to further assess component integrity. This may include Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) to identify surface and subsurface defects not visible during standard inspection activities.

Following inspection, customers receive a comprehensive condition assessment report outlining component condition, identified defects and recommended actions. Reports will include photographic records, dimensional measurements, wear assessment and repair recommendations, providing maintenance and engineering teams with the information required to make informed decisions regarding repair scope, refurbishment requirements or replacement.

Beyond assessing current condition, TS Global can also review inspection findings against operating conditions and duty requirements to identify opportunities for improved performance and reliability. Recommendations may include design enhancements, material upgrades, lagging selection, sealing improvements or other modifications aimed at extending service life and reducing recurring failure modes.

By combining detailed inspection processes with practical engineering expertise, TS Global helps customers make informed maintenance decisions, minimise operational risk and maximise the long-term reliability and performance of their conveyor pulley assets.
