Retractable Design for Reversing Belt Applications 

The Retractable R Belt Cleaner is designed to be used as either a seondary or tertiary belt cleaner. Its function is to remove fine residue left behind after primary cleaning, improving conveyor cleanliness and reducing carryback in mining and bulk materials-handling applications. Secondary and tertiary cleaners work in conjunction with primary cleaners to deliver a more complete and effective belt cleaning system.
 
The retractable R belt cleaner is designed to operate on reversing conveyor belts or in shuttles/trippers where the shuttle/tripper can be traversed without the belt running, which creates a reversing effect on the belt cleaner.
 
The retractable R cleaner combines effective secondary cleaning performance with a retractable cartridge system, designed to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce downtime and minimise exposure to manual handling.
 
The retractable design allows the cartridge assembly to be removed independently, enabling serviceable components to be prepared in advance and quickly exchanged during planned maintenance. This significantly reduces shutdown time and supports more efficient maintenance planning.
   
By removing only the cartridge while the structural pole remains in position, the system minimises manual handling within the chute, improving safety and reducing exposure during servicing.
 
The addition of water to the secondary cleaner can improve performance and can remove up to 98% of residual fines, with recovered material returned to the product flow to help maximise material recovery.
 
Manufactured with a high-grade stainless steel structure and supplied with bolt-on tungsten tips, the cleaner is designed for durability and long service life. Components are interchangeable with most major brands, helping to reduce replacement costs where required.
