Return Belt Protection Across Varying Conditions

The TUFF Floating and Failsafe Vee Conveyor Belt Plough range is designed to protect conveyor belts, pulleys, and return components by removing displaced material from the return side of the belt before it reaches critical equipment.

This range includes multiple floating and failsafe configurations to suit different conveyor layouts, operating conditions, and protection requirements.

Displaced material on the return belt can lead to pulley build-up, belt misalignment, and accelerated wear. Floating and failsafe vee ploughs are designed to maintain effective contact with the belt while accommodating changes in belt movement and operating conditions.

By removing material before it enters the pulley, these ploughs help maintain cleaner conveyor components and more stable belt tracking.

Floating and Failsafe Design Principles

Floating vee ploughs are designed to follow the belt profile, allowing consistent material removal while accommodating belt movement. Failsafe designs provide an additional level of protection by allowing the plough to respond safely to obstructions or abnormal conditions, helping reduce the risk of damage to the belt or conveyor structure.

Different configurations within the TUFF Floating and Failsafe Vee range are available to suit specific applications and duty requirements.

Floating Vee Application

  • Prior to drive, bend, take-up and tail pulleys on single direction conveyor.

Failsafe Vee Application

  • Prior to drive, bend, take-up and tail pulley on single direction conveyors only.
